Legacy ER & Urgent Care

I've been here several times and have had the most positive urgent care experience. The employers up front are kind and very helpful. I haven't had to wait very long whenever I've gone. The doctors and nurses have been very knowledgeable, considerate and take time to answer all of my questions. For comparison sake, I'd gone to Minute Clinic and Care Now before my experiences at both places have been nothing but negative. Both were much more expensive with long wait times and not great doctors, not to mention all the billing issues. I was so impressed with Legacy ER that I purchased the coverage plan that they offer. It was very inexpensive and very worth it! Was surprised that it also had great discounts on dental and vision, and both my eye doctor and dentist accept it. It even covers crowns. It seemed too good to be true but I've used quite a bit over the last year it and it delivers what it promises.

I was checked in right away! The lady at the front who checked me in was very sweet. I didn’t get her name. The nurses were amazing. They actually care about your health! I was so surprised because it is hard going somewhere and getting treated in a caring way. I loved my nurse Jan or Jane. I’m not sure how to spell it but she was the most caring person. Very attentive. Listened to my problems and never hesitated to help me. I also had another nurse help me and with no hesitation. Everyone who took care of me were AMAZING. The doctor listened to my concerns and found my diagnosis. I had seen two doctors before him and they kept saying it was a virus but the doctor right away ordered me lab work,Iv and found an infection. I know I will feel better because of this wonderful place. I can’t thank them enough everyone who helped me tonight. I would recommend this place over and over to anyone who is feeling ill 😷

This location will not tell you about all the out-of-pocket expenses and how extreme it can be. As some have stated below, they will appear In-Network, then charge Out-Of-Network rates. I was told at my visit in November that I would only owe the $300 co-pay for coming in at the 'grey area' of Urgent care to ER care hours with my insurance. Two months later I am receiving bills directly from the facility AND the PA that saw me for a total well over $1,000.00 for a simple 20min visit to ensure a sudden leg rash wasn't a concern. As long as you are prepared for the additional bills (not singular bill, multiple bills), the service is otherwise great.

Update-I submitted a request on your website prior to your response to my review & I have yet to hear from anyone. I am writing this because my paperwork was not correct. On 07/28/23 I arrived and it was pretty empty. I checked in and was called back. My blood pressure and oxygen levels were checked. I was asked my weight instead of weighing me when a scale was there. They then take me into an exam room and the doctor walks in with a young lady who just observed. He asked a few questions, checked my breathing and took a look at my right arm. He says that he’s going to have an ultrasound done to make sure I do not have a blood clot . I agreed and he walks out. A few minutes later he peeps his head in and says he’s going to run bloodwork as well. A few moments later a nurse comes in with paperwork advising me this will be charged as an ER visit since they’re performing bloodwork and ultrasound. Anywho fast forward. They said they don’t see anything and to follow up with my PCP. I take the discharge paperwork and leave. Once I arrived home I reviewed the paperwork and noticed that it says my blood pressure was elevated and to follow up with my PCP for blood pressure management. Now I’m confused because no one mentioned that to me while I was there. I called twice and requested to speak with someone. The head nurse called me back from her car and spoke with me . I explained everything and she apologized and said that l was on her way to the location and would be able to provide my vitals over the phone. I had no clue what my blood pressure even was. I called back after 40 minutes and she went over my vitals. She read my temperature and I told her I do not recall them even taking my temperature. I requested a copy of my vitals and the images form the ultrasound and she said she would have them up at the front for me. I drive back up there and of course nothing was ready. I had to wait! Once I arrived home I reviewed the paperwork and noticed that my notes say my blood pressure was normal which conflicts with the initial paperwork that I received. Also, a full exam was not performed so I do not understand why it says my ears were normal when they were not checked. It says my eyes took to the light when they they check your eyes which was not done. Also, it says that my ROM in upper extremities was normal. I am assuming that’s range of motion. I have a condition called Arthrogryposis and I have limited range of motion so that was not correct. Now I am confused about the blood pressure & the overall care I received. Now the doctor was great when he was explaining the possibility of a blood clot and my options for treatment. But they say they didn’t see a blood clot. Now I don’t know what’s true because of the discrepancies with the notes . I know I just came in for swelling in my arm ,but because I have a condition I do not take swelling of any kind lightly especially when I haven’t injured myself. It was very slow so I feel that the care could’ve been better. Especially being a black woman and understanding the disparities within healthcare when it pertains to us. Now, they could’ve had an off day. I can’t risk off days when my health is at risk. I went to this location because of the reviews.
